Offline support
ChronTrack is built to work without an internet connection. Your data lives in a local database in your browser, so you can log time, check your entries, and review goals even when you're offline.
Sync indicator
A small indicator in the navigation bar shows the current sync state:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green dot | All changes are synced to the server |
| Amber / pulsing | Sync in progress |
| Red / disconnected | Offline — changes are saved locally |
What works offline
Everything in the main app works offline:
- Starting and stopping the timer
- Viewing and editing time entries
- Browsing and editing your task hierarchy (Organize page)
- Checking goals and progress
- Reading reports for already-loaded data
What requires a connection
A few actions need the server:
- Signing in or signing out
- Inviting team members or accepting invitations
- Creating or managing managed (dependant) accounts
Coming back online
When your connection is restored, ChronTrack automatically syncs any changes you made offline. You don't need to refresh the page or take any action — the sync indicator will turn green once everything is up to date.
